Summer Holidays

Today I will talk about my future summer vacation.
Always in summer holidays I travel with my brothers to the south of Chile we like to camp and hike in the national parks.
But maybe this holiday it will be different because my siblings are planning other activities with their girlfriends and probably our vacation will remain for another opportunity.

That's why I was thinking along with my boyfriend the idea about work during the summer sessions and that we both raise money to travel to the south.
Last year we went together, but we want to know new places. The south is a huge place to discover.

We both love camping and being in touch with nature. I would like to hike in new national parks but I really want my boyfriend know the Tagua Tagua Park. Which I have already visited but it would be nice to go together.
When I went to the park it was always cloudy and I could not see well the rocky hills that were around. It would be good to go when it is sunny.
Another activity I would like to do a lot is swim. Being sincere, I learned to swim a few years ago hahaha. And I'm still not very good, I can not stand the ice water. so I want to practice in order to overcome even more my fear of water and endure as cold as it may be.
In addition I want to take more photographs, although it seems contradictory I am in the central photography workshop  but I do not take many photos of my vacation, I prefer to be more immersed in enjoying the place. But this time I want to be with my analog camera taking photos.

After finishing classes I will hope to find a job soon. Wish me luck. :)

Here I let you a picture in my last vacation in the Tagua Tagua Park

Favourite picture

Hi everyone today I'm going to tell you about one of my favourite photos and why I chose it.
The truth is I have several favourite photos and in all of them I am accompanied.
The photograph I chose was taken a few months ago with my two best friends, Jeannete and Jeniffer.
I really like this photo and it gives me a lot of feelings because I am with my best friends of all life hahaha. We've known each other since we had 6 years old. We spent our whole childhood in the same school, until we took different paths when we went to college.
In the photograph we are in a "fonda" hahaha in Rancagua and happened last September. It really does not matter the place where it was taken. The important thing was that finally we got together after a long time.
The photo as I said was taken on September 17 of this year. We actually have photos of each meeting. Which has occurred in the fondas of Rancagua. Many photos from many years hahaha.
With my friends, we gather sacredly every September. To see us and also to have some drinks. obviously.
We take a picture before we start to drink and another one, when  comes the moment to close the fonda. And you can imagine the difference hahaha, this is obviously before drinking.

Leaving aside the subject of drinking, I always get very excited seeing this and other photos where are the three together. We never have much time to get together. They study and work at the same time, and the three of us study in different cities. So when we finally get together, the moment is very special. That's why when I see this photo, all the beautiful memories come to me.

My future job

This issue is very complicated in this profession. After finished this year, I hope, jaja (anxious laughter). I want to study a degree in fine arts pedagogy, it's a special degree for people who already have a title in that profession, have a short duration, twelve months.
I want to go to the south of the country, specially Valdivia for study in the Universidad Austral.
I think it must have a good environment for study, I feel a little overwhelmed studying in the capital.

After that time, I think come the time to work. Obviously I want to work as a teacher, but I would love to work in a rural school.

I would like to give back what they have taught me (The teachers) but do it in places that most of the time do not get much attention.

My school had classes of art but we never did much more than drawing, and only once we painted.
When i got to college I was surprised when my colleagues told me the things they did in their fine arts classes at school. Photography, films, painting, sculpture and many other things.

About some others aspects, honestly i don't care if I make a lot of money, I don't want to work in the city, I like nature and smalls towns.
I'm a persistent person, I like to help other people. I'm not very good with numbers, I always forget dates.

I hope I can accomplish theses wishes as time passes.

My favourite album

Hello everyone, today I will talk about my favourite album or song.

It's very dificult to me choose one song or album, I don't think I have a favourite one. But for a very long time I have been a fan of the artist Natasha Khan.

My favourite album of her band (named Bat for Lashes) is Fur and Gold, Natasha is the singer in the band and also the song writer, she is from England and apart of her band she write  for another artists in addition to that is an multi instrumentalist. The singer recieved the Mercury Prize nominations for the album Fur and Gold and Two Suns.

The album fur and Gold was the first album that i heard and I was so delighted.
I had never heard that kind of music, the style of the band was so different. It's like indie, folk, experimental music.

And from that moment I started to listening the album all the time, specially when I traveled by bus or when I went to sleep.

I remember when I was traveling to Santiago to attend the workshop of art in Balmaceda Arte Joven. I always heard that album in the bus, and I enjoyed so much. I did that all the weeks in the travel to Santiago.

But I listened it too much, at the point that the album began to bore for me and I stopped listening for some time.

I let you the link to the album in youtube.

Vivian Maier

I don´t know if I really have a favorite artist but possibly at the moment is Vivian Maier.

Vivian was an american street photographer, worked for forty years as a nanny.
She took a lot of photographs during her spare time but her work was not recognized until her death.

Vivian was a nanny who loved to took pictures when she went outside  for a walk with the children she had care.

Maier photographed everything that caught her eyes, children, homeless people, poverty, but in a very sensitive way/manner.

A young photographer named John Malof found thousand of negatives that belonged to vivian, later would become famous.

I like this photographer because she never studied anything, was a self-taught.
Even so her work was wonderful, she never sought to be recognized for her work, always hid her photographs, ///but never knew why she did it///

I remember I met this photographer when I saw a documentary called Looking for Vivian Maier and it seemed so mysterious that I started searching all her works.

I loved the way she portrayed the reality.
Last year I was lucky enough to visit a photographic exhibition of her in Valparaiso and it was very nice.

I recommend you to see the documentary.

The best holiday

In january 2015. I traveled with my two brothers Darío and David in an airplane to Punta Arenas, the airplane had a lot of turbulence because the strong wind and I was soo nervous. Then we traveled by bus to Puerto Natales.
In Torres del Paine park, here there is always strong wind, me and my brothers fell down many times because of this.
In the park you can see cougars (pumas), deers (huemeul) and many kind of bird, also there are lakes with a beautiful turquoise color, even a giant glacier.
As the days passed and we advances along the path the landscape changed. We saw forest, lakes, hills and mountains.
We had several adventures, we were a few meters from  a cougar, that was very beautiful but a little scary because there was nothing to separate us from the animal and a tourist was bothering with his camera, he took photos using  the flash.
Also me and Darío almost fell down into a deep ravine, because there was a very strong wind.
Even so, it was beautiful and i hope to return some day.
